Edit: and the update is live on the AppStore. Welcome back iOS 4 users.

TaxiPal currently covers 1400 European cities with its Local Taxis directory service. As of today, TaxiPal has helped people in 24 countries to reach local taxi companies and get a ride home, to a hotel or to a business meeting. We work hard to add more cities to our coverage so that travellers won’t be stranded without a taxi anywhere.

We have some great news to Android phone users! Now you can download and install TaxiPal version 1.0 from the Android Market (link works only on Android phones, or use the Market app on your phone). Android OS versions 1.6 and up are supported.
As with the iPhone version you can currently use the Local Taxis feature (covering over 1400 cities in Europe) to access information about taxi companies servicing your current location. And soon you will be able to order taxis also without a phone call as we are rolling out the Direct Order feature in various countries shortly.
