TaxiPal public launch pending App Store approval

The public launch of TaxiPal, the first multi-lingual taxi ordering and brokering mobile service, is almost here!

We are currently in the process of attaining approval for the app from Apple and bar any unforeseen circumstances we hope to have the app available for everyone very soon. Other platforms will follow shortly thereafter.

TaxiPal for Android beta released

A couple of days ago the beta version of TaxiPal for Android reached the beta testing phase. Our registered beta-testers received the download link and have been trying it out. The overall feedback is positive with some good constructive suggestions on how to make it even better. TaxiPal team would like to thank everyone for their support.

More good news from Mobile Premier Awards organizers. TaxiPal has been selected as a finalist by by an international jury of the most recognized mobile industry experts to pitch at the Mobile Premier Awards event that takes place in Barcelona on February 15, 2010 in front of investors, operators, media companies, peer entrepreneurs, and press and influential bloggers.

We are extremely happy about this recognition and opportunity: TaxiPal made it to top 20 out of over 250 candidates from all over the world.

TaxiPal beta for iPhone is ready

Today the beta version of TaxiPal for iPhone was sent to the registered beta-testers.
As announced earlier, we are carrying out a closed beta testing for users in Estonia and Finland.

Beta versions for Android, WindowsMobile and J2ME phones will be released shortly as well. If you want to participate in the beta-testing and you are located in Estonia or Finland, please sign up on this registration page.

Nomination to the Mobile Premier Awards

TaxiPal has been nominated to the Mobile Premier Awards in Innovation by Estonian chapter of MobileMonday.

50 nominees were chosen out of over 250 candidates from all over the world. From these nominees an international jury of the most recognized mobile industry experts will select 20 finalists to come and pitch at the event in Barcelona in front of investors, operators, media companies, peer entrepreneurs, press and influential bloggers during Mobile World Congress.

Registration of beta testers is now open

We are extremely happy to announce that we have now reached beta testing phase. We are limiting beta testing to users located in Finland and Estonia for the time being. We apologize in front of potential users elsewhere; please stay tuned for the TaxiPal launch announcement for your country.

We are currently accepting beta testers for the iPhone, Android, WindowsMobile (v.6.5 touch screen devices) and GPS-enabled S60 Java phones (several Nokia, Samsung, SonyEricsson, LG and other phones). Please go to the beta testing registration page to sign up.

The requests are processed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Due to a limited number of invites there is a queue and some wait time might occur.
